Salary Schedules

A salary schedule is a table of potential earnings where the first step is the minimum salary and the last step is the maximum salary possible at that level.

Salary schedules are established for non-represented positions at the University of Alaska.  Each job family is assigned a schedule to guide equitable compensation beginning with the initial appointment and future salary movement.

Below you will find complete salary schedules for the University of Alaska for full-time regular, term, temporary, and student staff.  To determine part-time salaries utilize the salary step “hourly” rate and calculate the “bi-weekly” and “annually” rates of pay based on the hours worked conditions proposed in the appointment contract. Appointment and salary will be based on the duties and responsibilities of the position, the employee’s education and experience, internal alignment, and prevailing market conditions as indicated by annual surveys of salaries appropriate to the position.

Note: Executive, senior administrator, and academic officer compensation is administered by the President of the University of Alaska system.
