HR Summer School is an immersive event designed to educate, connect, and inspire. Speakers will be sharing on everything from talent acquisition to learning and development, performance management to leadership, inclusive practices to culture, and much more. Dates are Tuesday, June 4th through Thursday, June 6th, 2025 and runs from 7:00am -9:30pm Alaska Standard time. This is a free event and is being submitted for SHRM/HRCI credits.
UA HR hosts roundtable discussions on a monthly basis for HR Coordinators. These roundtables include updates from the HR leadership team, updates on training and are a space for HR Coordinators to ask questions. HR Coordinators are notified of the roundtable through the UA HR Update email sent weekly to HR Coordinators. Contact UA HR Customer Service to learn more.
The Employee Leaves Journey training is designed to help better understand employee leaves and how they interact: Family Medical Leave (FML), Leave Share, Parental Leave, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Short-term Disability (STD), and Long-term Disability (LTD). Learning outcomes will result in participants having a broad understanding of the leaves and protections available to UA employees, an understanding of where to direct employees for additional assistance, and where resources can be located on the benefits website.

HR Coordinators (HRC) are the first level of contact for employees for all things HR. In partnership with UA HR, HR Coordinators do everything from recruiting to monitoring timesheets.
UA HR sends weekly email updates on a weekly basis to HR Coordinators.

The HR Self-Service Knowledge Base resource provides self service support for HR professionals and employees wanting to find procedures and information regarding employment benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, leave, accommodations, labor and employee relations, off-boarding, payroll, and much more.
The A-Z Index of Procedures resource is here to assist HR professionals in performing their duties and support employees with addressing their needs.
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a national organization providing support, resources, certifications and education for HR practitioners. If you hold a membership to SHRM, you can affiliate with a local SHRM group. SHRM members can associate with a local chapter. These organizations often offer location relevant education to their members and opportunities to obtain CEUs for SHRM certifications.
