Davis J. Parks, a Junior majoring in Political Science at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska. He graduated from Palmer High School in 2000 where he played football and soccer. David found a passion in political science after servine as an intern for Senator Frank Murkowski in the summer of 2000. He spent the summer of 2001 as a fishing guide at one of Alaska's most prestigious lodges, Riverslong Lodge and retured to Washington, DC on staff with Senator Murkowski as the Intern Coordinator for the summer of 2002.
David petitioned in as a Senator at the beginning of his freshman year, and was elected Vice President by the end of that same year. He was elected President at the end of his sophomore year, and the student representative to the Board of Regents in the beginning of his junior year.
David is a true Alaskan who spends a great deal of his time involved with community
issues. He is involved in the Recycling Program, Campus Crusade, and the Sigma Alpha
Epsilon Fraternity.
