Tina DeLapp Classroom (UAA)
The Tina DeLapp Nursing Lecture Hall was named in October, 2011 in honor of Tina DeLapp,
Ed.D., RN, the former director of the UAA school of nursing. A gift from Providence
Health and Services Alaska to support the School of Nursing Expansion made the classroom
dedication possible.
A plaque that hangs outside the room states the classroom was dedicated to “honor
the tireless pursuit of nursing education excellence by Dr. Tina DeLapp, Ed.D., RN.”
Providence Health and Services Alaska extend their commendation beyond Dr. DeLapp
in the dedication: “The Tina DeLapp Lecture Hall represents the concerted efforts
of dedicated faculty and staff who, joining with the private health care industry,
are utilizing the power of public education to create a lasting legacy of improved
health and well-being for all Alaskans.”
The Tina DeLapp Classroom can be found in the Health Sciences Building, new on the
UAA campus as of fall of 2011.
