The University of Alaska has reached a tentative agreement on a three-year collective bargaining agreement with United Academic-Adjuncts on behalf of approximately 1,000 part-time faculty across the university system.

The agreement is subject to approval by both parties, and no public statements will be made about the details of the agreement until it has been approved.

The parties agreed that the negotiation was amicable and resolved the parties' major concerns.

The union's membership will review the agreement over the next several weeks, and the Board of Regents will review it during the November 19-20 meeting in Anchorage.
