UA Social Media Map

Social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, can connect individuals to main or extended campuses as well as departments, colleges and clubs. They offer a current and entertaining supplement to static vehicles of communication and increase awareness of news and events. We invite participation from those who want to use social media to develop their relationships within the University of Alaska.

There will be occasions when social media amplifies the unexpected. A story can become a vehicle to mobilize a community, or a revelation that shocks the establishment. It is our sincere hope the resulting conversations will be handled with care and compassion by the people taking on the roles of site moderators associated with the University of Alaska.
