Fairbanks Youth Sports Continues Support of UAF Athletics & Top of the World Classic.

Fairbanks Youth Sports, Inc., (FYS) one of the founding sponsors of UAF's Top of the World Classic, has presented University of Alaska President Mark R. Hamilton with another $10,000 contribution, bringing the organization's total sponsorship of the basketball competition to $50,000 over the past three years.

In addition, FYS presented a check for $5,000 to University of Alaska Fairbanks Chancellor Joan Wadlow for support, at $1,000 each, of all sports at UAF except for hockey and men's basketball (which benefits from FYS sponsorship of the Top of the World Classic). FYS has given more than $30,000 in general support to athletics at UAF over the last seven years.

The latest check presentations were made this week by Jim Derringer, president of the board of directors of FYS.
