UA President Testifies on Sen. Murkowski's Bill

Dr. Jerome B. Komisar, president of the University of Alaska, will testify tomorrow in Washington, D. C., at a hearing on Senate Bill 660, the legislation proposed by Alaska Sen. Frank Murkowski to grant federal public lands to the university.
The hearing is being held by the Senate's Energy and Natural Resources Committee, which is chaired by Sen. Murkowski. The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in Room SD-366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
