TIAA RetirePlus Select Program updates are complete!
We are pleased to announce that the RetirePlus Select changes to the University of
Alaska retirement plans at TIAA are complete as of October 25, 2024. For more information
on the RetirePlus Select options (including the Retirement Plan Portfolio Manager
(RPPM)) please review our other news article.
Actions to consider:
- Review the new investment menu. Participants can select from new investment options to help them reach their savings goals. As a result of the program updates, if a participant had a balance in the Nuveen Lifecycle Index Funds, they were enrolled in the new RetirePlus Select moderate model portfolio that aligns with their anticipated retirement age. Eligible account balances were then transferred to the new account, unless the participant made another choice on or before October 22, 2024. To view the new investment menu and the TIAA RetirePlus Select program, visit TIAA.org/alaska.
- Register for online account access. Managing all accounts online is an easy and secure way to view balances, manage investments, get advice and more. Visit TIAA.org/alaska and click on “Log in.” It a participant has not created an online account before, click “Need online access?” and follow the prompts.
- Review and/or update beneficiary designation information. Even though the beneficiary did not change with the update to RetirePlus Select,
now is a good time to review all beneficiary designations. To review and update current
designations, log in to TIAA.org/beneficiaries.
- Get help with investments. UA employees are eligible to receive retirement plan investment advice and education at no additional cost to you.* To schedule a session, visit TIAA.org/schedulenow or call 800-732-8353, weekdays, 4:00 am to 4:00pm Alaska.
For more information, visit TIAA.org/alaska or call TIAA at 800-842-2252, weekdays, 4:00pm to 6:00pm Alaska.
* The advice and education services are not available to participants who reside outside
the United States. Advice is obtained using an advice methodology from an independent
third-party.
