SAA June 2019 Annual Meeting Highlights
June 27, 2019
The Statewide Administration Assembly (SAA) held its annual meeting on Friday, June 21, Butrovich 109 in Fairbanks. New 2019-202 representatives were Linda Hall, Lauren Hartment (Anchorage), Elizabeth Lilly, John McGee, Monique Musick, Derek Ward and Jeremiah Youmans. Returning representatives were Jennifer Ostrom, Laycie Schneckenburger, Monica Terrones, and Josh Watts. Outgoing representatives were Josiah Borkovec, Shiva Hullavarad, Caitlin Lipka and Elaine Main.

University Holiday Closure, July 4-5

The University of Alaska will celebrate the Independence Day holiday, Thursday and Friday, July 4-5. All campus offices will be closed.

Music in the Garden announces lineup for free summer concert series

You won't want to miss the variety of bands and musical ensembles performing this summer at the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Georgeson Botanical Garden. The 2019 Music in the Garden concert series is slated for 7 p.m. on Thursdays and continues most weeks until Aug. 8.

Statewide Staff has opportunity for Board of Regents public testimony on June 6

University of Alaska Statewide staff will have the opportunity to comment on issues facing UA during the Board of Regents full board meeting slated for June 6 in Fairbanks. In-person testimony will be held at 8:15 a.m. on June 6 in room 109 Butrovich Building.

Update on OU Campus transition and new features

UAF and SW continue to transition from Roxen to a new website platform called OU Campus. OU Campus is a web content management system that's fast and easy to use and is designed specifically for higher education. It's currently used by hundreds of colleges and universities.

In order to expand the delivery of timely system news to all University of Alaska employees, the Statewide Voice was discontinued, and we transitioned to the new UA News Center with a system-wide audience and the Statewide Bulletin for SW staff.
