Liz Wolfe loves to travel and it shows
Elizabeth (Liz) Wolfe’s journey with the University of Alaska began in January 2018 when she joined the Human Resources accounting department. She transitioned to a position as the UA Foundation’s Fairbanks gift manager on June 1.
When asked about what she likes best about working for the University, Wolfe had two
words: “the people.“
"I have some amazing colleagues in HR and with the Foundation,” said Wolfe.
Wolfe was born in Alaska. She grew up in California and Oregon. She returned home to Alaska in 2001. While working for UA’s HR department, she earned a Fundamental Payroll Certification.
Wolfe is married and has a daughter who just graduated High School and a son. Her husband has volunteered as a youth hockey coach for many years and coaches their son’s team. When she is not watching her son’s hockey games or working, Wolfe works for Delta Airlines and enjoys the travel benefits that come with the job.
“I LOVE to travel,” said Wolfe. “Thailand is my favorite place to go. My husband and
I went a couple of years ago and just me and my son went last year.”
