Welcome new employees to the system office

As the University of Alaska works to restructure in order to provide cost-effective education and service to Alaska, we are likely to see many changes to the system office. First, let’s welcome the new human resources and procurement employees who are joining us this month. Whether located in the Butrovich, Bragaw, or distributed throughout the system, it is a pleasure to be working with you! I hope you find Statewide to be a welcoming and supportive environment for your work.

Change is never easy. It’s up to all of us to be a little extra aware right now, and offer assistance where needed, and to display patience and understanding as everyone settles into their new roles. No one knows exactly what structure we will ultimately formulate, but there is one thing that is necessary no matter what happens: remember to be kind to each other.
