Butrovich Parking Lot Reminders
October 28, 2022
Notes on parking lot etiquette in the Butrovich lot:
Since the snow is covering up the lines, please use the markings on the retaining wall.
*Your car should be in the middle of the horizontal lines*.
The vertical lines on the wall are the open space around vehicles. Please make sure to check this even if you are backing in to the parking space.
When you park where there are only head bolt heaters (no wall with guidelines)- please make sure you park on either side of an outlet (it should not be directly in the middle of your car or you should not be in middle of 2 posts). This is for both the far lot and the spaces right in front of the building.
The guest parking spaces are for guests ONLY. They are not for staff. Please do not park in these spaces. Parking Services does patrol the lot and issue tickets, so if you need a day pass for guests you have coming to the building for a meeting, please let me or Rebecca know and we can arrange that for you.
The area in front of the flag pole is also not staff parking. This area is for UAF Police and Facilities Services when they have work in the building.
Finally, please do not idle your vehicle in front of the vents at either end of the building. These are fresh air intakes and will quickly fill areas of the building with exhaust.
If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Lighthall, Executive Legal Assistant in the Office of General Counsel.
