Join us in celebrating Fred Villa’s retirement
After 13 years with the University of Alaska, Fred Villa, Associate Vice President for Workforce Programs is retiring. His last day is April 29.
In his position at UA, Villa has been a key leader in building the University of Alaska’s industry partnerships and creating educational pathways in maritime and health workforce development as well as oil, gas and mining. He is known throughout the state for his tireless efforts guiding Alaskans toward Alaskan jobs and careers and his heartfelt work advancing technical and career education. His work was recently honored with the David G. Stone Postsecondary Career and Technical Education Administrator of the Year Award.
We are celebrating Villa’s accomplishments and work with UA with a retirement party and potluck from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, April 29 in the Butrovich Employee Lounge in room 001. Sign up for a dish here.
