    This is our annual reminder that, although as individuals we are encouraged to vote and to get as involved as we may care to be in election campaigns, it is important that we refrain from utilizing for partisan political purposes those publicly funded UA resources to which we have access as members of the UA community.

    Simmons returns to UAF to lead College of Indigenous Studies as interim dean

    Simmons, who holds a Master of Arts in Clinical-Community Psychology, brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as a faculty member and senior administrator at UAF. As the former Interior Alaska Campus director, Simmons oversaw faculty and staff while serving as principal investigator on numerous federal and state grants.

    University of Alaska continues contract negotiations with United Academics

    August 23, 2024

    The University of Alaska has begun negotiations with United Academics (UNAC) on a new collective bargaining agreement. UNAC represents most faculty and post-doctoral fellows at the UA System, and the current bargaining agreement (CBA) expires at the end of this year.
