  • Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Grace Period Extension

    The Employee Transitions and Benefits team would like to announce that effective immediately, the grace period to use FY20 Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds has been extended from September 15, 2020 to December 31, 2020. This means that the money leftover in your Health Care FSA after June 30, 2020 can be used for any services rendered up through December 31, 2020 and will not be forfeited until after December 31.

  • Campus offices closed for Independence holiday

    June 19, 2020

    The University of Alaska will celebrate the Independence Day holiday, Thursday and Friday, July 2-3, during which all campus offices will be closed.

  • Wellness program deadline is June 30

    June 19, 2020

    The deadline for the wellness program is June 30, 2020. This means that you still have about 2.5 months to complete the program requirements and earn your wellness rebate up to $600.

Things can seem even more difficult with the added isolation and uncertainty of remote work. I want to remind everyone about the variety of resources available to employees to help manage during hard times. UA offers several levels of confidential services for those in need of behavioral health or mental health resources. Additionally, financial and family support services are offered at no cost to employees.

    This is a reminder that the June 30, 2020, deadline for staff performance evaluations is approaching. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring evaluations are completed for their team members. It is UA's goal that 100% of staff members receive an annual performance review.
