At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2002, the Board of Regents met in an informal retreat to discuss board performance, responsibilities, expectations, and to discuss strategic issues of concern to begin the process for formulation of a strategic plan for the University of Alaska.

The retreat continued on Saturday, January 19, and on Sunday morning, January 20, and adjourned at approximately 12:00 noon.

No official actions were taken at this retreat.
