Marc began his career in education in 1973 after graduating from Xavier University in Chicago. He was initially a high school music teacher and eventually became a Special Education Resource Teacher. Marc moved to Alaska in 1978 where he played music professionally while obtaining his K-8 classroom certification. He began working for the Anchorage School District in 1985. He completed his Masters in Educational Leadership in 1998 and became a principal. He completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2005 and left the Anchorage School District in 2008 to become Assistant Professor of Elementary Education for the University of Alaska, Mat-Su College. Marc became a statewide mentor in the fall of 2009.

Marc passed away in July of 2015.

I truly believe that all students can learn and it is the responsibility of teachers to provide a safe and stimulating educational environment. I love teaching and I love learning but most of all, I love making my grandsons laugh. I am excited about being a statewide mentor and can't wait to build some new relationships."
