Mentor Biography
Larissa Selman
Long Beach, California is where Larissa began teaching. After two years of teaching first grade in California, Larissa moved to the Anchorage/Eagle River area where she taught third grade. She obtained her teaching credential at the University of Redlands in California, with an emphasis on cross-cultural language and academic development. Later, she received a M.A. in teaching from Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Larissa is especially interested in reading instruction. When she is out of the classroom, Larissa enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, and skijoring.
