Jessica Willis was not released from a school district directly prior to mentoring. She currently mentors in Unalakleet and Shishmaref Schools in the Bering Strait District; at Barrow Elementary, Kali and Meade River Schools in the North Slope Borough District; at Nome Elementary in the Nome Public School District; and at Pearl Creek Elementary in the Fairbanks North Star School District.

Her teaching experience includes 5 years of teaching in bush and rural Alaska. In addition Jessica has a M.A. in Education: Language and Literacy, and K-12 Reading Endorsement.
