Deb Barner

Debi received her elementary education degree and special education endorsement from University of Oregon. She began her career as a resource teacher, and later moved on to work with students in 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. She coordinated the Title I program at Tanaina Elementary for four years. The last two years of her 26-year career in the Mat-Su District were spent as a Literacy Coach.
"As a mentor, I will do my best to listen to the new teachers I get to work with, and share knowledge passed on to me by fellow educators who heard me when I was in need. I look forward to empowering teachers, new to this extraordinary career, so they find joy in the classroom and success for their students."
