Mentor Biography
Dan Walker
After receiving a degree in anthropology from Idaho State University, Dan obtained his teaching credential from the Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. He also has a master's degree in education from Alaska Pacific University. Areas of interest in teaching include middle school, gifted and talented (G/T) education, content area reading and writing, geography, and integrated units. His teaching experience was in Seward at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He taught 4th grade for 3 years, 7th grade social studies and language arts for 7 years, G/T elementary for 8 years, and G/T grades 7-12 for 5 years.
