Cindy Masloski

Cindy

I earned my elementary teaching licensure through Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota where I taught for several years before moving to Homer, Alaska. There I taught in a private school before moving back into public education as an elementary grade teacher at Voznesenka, a K-12 Russian Old Believer School located at the Head-of-the-Bay. While teaching there I earned my Masters of Education, with a focus on integrating the arts into the curriculum, through Lesley University. The last two years I worked as the Instructional/Technology Coach for the Lower Kenai Peninsula schools. I am currently part of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District professional development department and work within the ASMP UGO grant to serve early career teachers there.

I feel very privileged to be a part of the ASMP UGO program. Throughout my career I have strived to instill the love of learning in my students, which has helped them to become successful in so many ways. I also grew in my profession by positively impacting the teaching strategies of educators in the Southern Kenai Peninsula as a part of the KPBSD professional development team. Now I am excited to provide encouragement and support to early career teachers, assisting them in their own growth and expertise while impacting student achievement and retaining them as educators in this great state of Alaska.
