Cathy received her B.S.E. in Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and taught three years before moving to Soldotna, Alaska. At Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, Cathy has continued to teach for the past 16 years in special education and general education at both the elementary and secondary level.

Cathy is currently part of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District professional development department and works as part of the Alaska Statewide Mentor Project UGO grant to serve early career teachers.

"I look forward to working with new teachers as they engage in the business of teaching. I hope to support and challenge them in their practice as they build capacity in engaging students to reach high academic achievement."
