2004-2007

Barbara Ragan was Executive Assistant for the Alaska Statewide Mentor Project. She worked closely with the Director of the Alaska Statewide Mentor Project to help organize the activities of Mentor Project Director Lorrie Scoles and over two dozen mentor teachers.

She started with the Mentor Project as a Research Assistant in February 2005, and moved into the Executive Assistant position in August 2005. Her education achievements include receiving an Alaska Teaching Certification in grades K-8 in 1998 and a Master's Degree in Language and Literacy in May 2006. In addition, she has been very actively involved in the Weller Elementary PTA.

What does Barb enjoy about her job? "The wonderful people that I work with in the office and across the state. There is a strong commitment to improving education for children and creating professional development opportunities for teachers."
