Ann

2010-2017

Ann received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and her K-8 Alaska Teacher certification from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Ann's Master's Degree is in Curriculum & Instruction with a Literacy Emphasis from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is a trained Slingerland teacher and has spent many years teaching children with Specific Language Disabilities. During her years in education, she has had the opportunity to teach at every grade level K-8.

"One of the most rewarding things about being a teacher has been to help struggling students succeed and to understand that they can 'do it', whatever the task may be. Children are marvelously candid; they just seem to think so 'out of the box'. This has always made going to work a delight.

I am excited to be a part of the Alaska Statewide Mentor Project. I have been fortunate to work with and learn from many wonderful teachers throughout my career. I am looking forward to professional growth and am excited to pass my experience on and to provide support for first and second year teachers."
