Toni Abbey joins OIT

Toni Abbey is the newest member of the program management team in OIT. Abbey joins OIT having recently been employeed by the State of Alaska in the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities. Prior to working for the State of Alaska Abbey was a Regional Planner for SANDAG (San Diego Association of Governments) in the Land Use Department.
Abbey has been in Fairbanks for the last year following an 11-year period of living in San Diego. She was born and raised in Fairbanks, and returned home to be with family.
Abbey received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in City Planning at San Diego State University.
She is very happily married, practices yoga and all disciplines of dance, enjoys playing the drums, piano and guitar but is working on learning more about the mandolin. Abbey recently started signing cabaret with the Fairbanks Winter Arts Festival.
UA Foundation welcomes Anne Aleshire

Anne Aleshire has joined the UA Foundation as a gift manager, meaning she does gift depositing and processing in the Raiser's Edge donor database. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the fiscal officer for the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library for over nine years.�
Aleshire was born in Harrisville, Michigan.� She lived in Montana, Massachusetts and South Dakota prior to arriving in Alaska in 1987.
She's recieved several degrees through Alpena Community College, University of Montana and University of Alaska Fairbanks including an Associate of Arts in art; a� Bachelor of Science in business management; a� Bachelor of Art in art, and a Bachelor of Fine Art in painting.
She is married to Charles Aleshire and enjoys art, hiking, traveling and exploring with her grandkids.

Matthew Chandler transitions from student to staff

Matthew Chandler has been programming for Banner Student for the last four years as a student employee, but as of the end of February he has been hired on as a full staff member for OIT's Enterprise Application Services.
Although he was born in Idaho, Chandler has lived in Fairbanks since age 4. He is currently attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks and anticipates graduating this May with both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Computer Science.
In his non-computer time, Chandler enjoys backpacking and geocaching.
Statewide Finance welcomes Elaine Main

Elaine Main previously worked at Statewide as a student, but that was long ago. Over the years she's held various positions similar to the administrative duties she does now. She's been lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom for over 10 years. Now, Main is happy to be back in such a nice work environment.
Main was born in New York but grew up in Fairbanks. She graduated from Lathrop High School and earned a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Elaine is married to Karl Main, from Kodiak.� They have three kids; Malia 10; Ciana, 8; and Aidan, 6.� They all attend Denali Elementary School and are into sports and art. Main enjoys reading, photography, art and shuttling kids to various activities.
