Thanksgiving Staff Potluck

Photos by Monique Musick

Different departments sponsored Thanksgiving baskets for the Food Bank. Some contained games, movies, popcorn and other family fun themed items, and several others contained all the trimmings for a full Thanksgiving meal– just add turkey. In all, over 160 pounds were brought to the Food Bank after the potluck. The baskets doubled as great table decorations too!
Dory Straight, scholarship officer for the UA Foundation, and Izzy Martinez, publications assistant in Public Affairs, coordinated this year's Thanksgiving potluck. Thank you both (and your helpers) for a wonderful job organizing the food, decorating the room, setting up, breaking down and delivering the baskets to the Food Bank! Your fellow co-workers appreciate all that you do!
At 12:00 sharp the line began to move. The sun was shining through the windows and the tables and decorations looked lovely.
Delicious smells greeted the lines of people waiting to get their plate of Thanksgiving feast.
There was plenty of food and space for everyone. No one went hungry!
President Gamble mingled with staff during the potluck.
Dory's daughter's homemade turkey cake pops were a delightful addition to a tempting dessert table. From start to finish, it was a wonderful meal.
