Bonnie Speck will provide senior HR professional support to the university’s systemwide compensation and classification programs, which include salary review and analysis to support all university compensation programs.

Speck served as human resources officer for Oregon State University in the areas of classification and compensation. She also served as HR contact and administration manager (supervising all support staff) for the College of Education at Oregon State University.� Speck has previous experience in employee records both at Oregon State University and Oregon Health and Science University.

Speck was born in Longview, Wash. She is new to Alaska, having arrived on Feb. 23 from Philomath, Ore., just west of Corvallis.

Speck received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Ore.

She is excited for the opportunity to explore Alaska with her two children; a daughter, age 12, and son, age 14.
