Aloha party for Janet Johnson
Janet's career here at the University of Alaska began in 1974.� Since that time, Janet has become a leading expert on our administrative computing system, a.k.a Banner.� Her hard-work and dedication has not gone unnoticed in her 35 years of service.� She has repeatedly been recognized by her peers as an outstanding employee (1987, 2000, 2009).� She was also the recipient of 2002's Make Students Count award. Janet's knowledge and leadership of the Banner Coordinating Team has ensured careful coordination of countless upgrades, new integrations, and other Banner-related projects.
Janet will continue to work part-time for OIT after her retirement, but she is also looking forward to spending more time in Hawaii.� She will be greatly missed by her colleagues both in and outside of OIT.

Dale Denny new manager of Data Center Operations
Please join the OIT staff in congratulating Dale Denny who will be the new Manager of Data Center Operations within OIT-ITS effective immediately. He is replacing David Rohwer who recently retired.
Dale was selected as the top candidate in a nation-wide search to fill this important position.
Dale has been with the University for 21 years, most of it as the Data Center Operations Technical Lead within OIT, and has an extensive background in IT Operations.

Regent Drygas welcomes new baby
Annika Margaret Drygas was born September 29 at 7:20 a.m.� She is 7 lbs 9 oz, 21” long, healthy and happy.
Emily and Erik Drygas are very excited and can’t wait to bring her home.
Paloma's new baby girl
Paloma Harbour had her baby September 23 at Bartlett hospital in Juneau. A not-so-little girl, Imogen Moxie was 9 lbs. 2 oz. at birth and 21 in. in length. Both mother and daughter are doing well. Congratulations Paloma and Aaron; we miss you!
