Financial Aid

Attending the University of Alaska is possible for you, whether you're a recent high school graduate, are looking to return to college to enter a new career, or are planning to finish a degree for personal or professional growth. A major concern for all students is "How am I going to pay for this?" Be assured that there are many federal, state and private resources available to students through the university that can help you fund your education, and there's a helpful financial aid staff that can assist you in determining which alternative will be the best choice for you. There are deadlines and time frames for applying to make sure funding is in place, and you should visit the financial aid website for the campus of your choice as early as possible.

The first step in obtaining financial aid, and maximizing the aid you get, is to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Complete the FAFSA as early as possible, as some funds are disbursed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
