Legacy video conferencing platforms will be retired in January

This spring semester all video conferencing courses and administrative meetings will need to be conducted over Zoom. The Video Conferencing Services legacy infrastructure will be retired by Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.

Zoom reminder for spring conference

This is a reminder that starting in January, all video-conference courses and meetings will need to be scheduled through Zoom! UA Video Conference Services will retire the legacy conferencing infrastructure by Jan. 30, 2020. Video conferencing units in classrooms and conference rooms will still be able to connect to conferences through Zoom.

Are you a Banner 8 or Pinnacle user? Microsoft has recently addressed a serious vulnerability in the Internet Explorer web browser in an out-of-band (not available in Windows Update) security update. This vulnerability allows an attacker who successfully compromises the web browser to gain the same user rights as the current user, which may include the right to install software, execute programs, and may be able to examine existing files and folders.

Stay secure and move to Windows 10

On Oct. 22, 2009 Windows 7 is reaching its "end of life," at which point the software and security updates, as well as technical assistance, will no longer be available. Out-of-date operating systems create a substantial security risk. To mitigate that risk, all computers using Windows 7 operating systems must be upgraded to Windows 10 by Jan. 14, 2020.
