Costs

We are happy to be able to keep costs for registration and housing close to those for previous Institutes. However, costs for meals are substantially higher, reflecting the higher cost of food and commodities in Alaska as compared to the lower 48 United States. 

Participants have the option of registering for the 2-week workshop session or both the 2-week workshop session and the 3 week practicum session (total 5 weeks). 

2-weeks (workshops) June 20 - July 1, 2015

Check in after 3pm on June 19. Check out by 11am on July 2. Includes 3 meals per day.

**If you would like to receive university credit (6 credits) there is an additional transcript fee of $180.

Off-campus housing and dining options are limited, and we are unable to assist participants with locating housing off-campus. We strongly encourage all participants to take advantage of the on-campus housing and dining option.

Transportation costs are not included in the above fees. The Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) offers nonstop flights to Seattle (Alaska, Delta), Minneapolis (Delta), Chicago (United), Denver (United), as well as connections to many more US and international cities via Anchorage. Fairbanks is also accessible via road. Drivers should be aware that much of the Alaska Highway route is 2-lane and subject to construction delays.
