About ATP

What is Alaska Teacher Placement?

ATP was established in 1978 as a partnership between school districts, and the University of Alaska to serve as a statewide education job clearinghouse for Alaska. For over 38 years ATP has matched teachers and administrators seeking positions with the districts who need them. Over this time ATP has successfully evolved to become the primary recruiting service center for teachers and school administrators in Alaska.

With support from virtually all of the state's school districts, the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (EED), and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, ATP has adapted so it can continue to serve educators and school districts for years to come.
