Spring 2015 Conversation with the President

The spring 2015 Conversation with the President is scheduled for May 14 at 10 a.m. in Butrovich 109 and Bragaw 205. The event will be moderated by Karl Kowalski and will include questions submitted from UA staff.

Longevity and Excellence Honored at Statewide Service Awards

The Annual Statewide Service Awards and Outstanding Employee celebration was held April 21 to honor Statewide work anniversaries and Outstanding Employees/Department for 2014.�

Statewide Staff Giving Campaign April 1 - 30, 2015

The Statewide Staff Giving Campaign ends on Thursday, April 30.� With staff participation rates the highest they’ve been in five years, we have collectively demonstrated our generosity and that we care – that we believe in our students, our work, and our mission. However, the need is still great and we encourage your continued participation. The financial challenges we face as a university make philanthropic support more important than ever!

This year’s campaign has incorporated some fun activities. From the kick-off of the Soup-er Scholarship Feed to the nail biting silent Battle of the Good, Better, Best Dessert Auction.�

Everyone who participates in the campaign through April 30 is invited to a pizza party in May.

Statewide Administration Assembly

Make Your Vote Count

The spring nomination period identified a great field of candidates for staff representation on the Statewide Administration Assembly. The election process is now open through May 15. You can access the online ballot on SAA’s webpage: www.alaska.edu/governance/saa/elections/ to cast your vote.

All voting is anonymous, though you will be required to log into Google apps to access the ballot. Thank you to all candidates for accepting the nomination and for participating in the governance process at the University of Alaska.

Angela Wohlford grills up pancakes for the Heart Walk breakfast fundraiser on March 27. The breakfast earned $559 for the Statewide Team helping them reach a current total of $3,419 and 23 team members.
