Troy MacGillivray Band with Caitlin Warbelow playing a mix of traditional Cape Breton and Irish tunes. Workshops will be held Sept. 6-10. Workshops will mostly be for intermediate or advanced with the exception of beginning fiddle and guitar. Proceeds to benefit local charities and non-profits. �

Far North Fiddle Fest

The Fairbanks Cancer Care Physicians and the Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation are proud to present the Far North Fiddle Fest benefiting the FMH Hospice Services (formerly known as the Hospice of the Tanana Valley). 55th Annual Gold Pan Awards

The Anchorage Chamber Gold Pan Awards is Anchorage’s longest-standing and most prestigious awards program for the Chamber of Commerce. Awards will celebrate 16 finalists in four categories and announce the recipients while playing casino-style games with style. Individual tickets are $40 table for 10 is $400. ��

Saturday, Sept. 15—Fairbanks
Soroptimist International annual fundrasier "Ladies Night Out"

Soroptimist International of Fairbanks is having its 15th annual fundraiser “Ladies Night Out.” Champagne and Chocolate on Sept. 15th at River’s Edge Resort from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be wine tasting, door prizes, a self-protection and awareness presentation, Sweet Adelines performance, Polynesian dancing, and a fashion show. Must be 21 to attend. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. You can get tickets from the S Salon downtown, Lin’s Asian Bistro, Moose Creek Lodge or the Leaf & Bean Coffeehouse. A Word of Thanks

Thanks to everyone who supported Erika Van Flein, Director of Benefits, during Dancing with the Fairbanks Stars competition at the Tanana Valley State Fair on August 10th.� With everyone’s help, she was able to raise $1,217 for the Lathrop High School Ballroom Dance Team.� She did a fantastic job!!� Here is a link to watch her performance: click here.�
