Tanya Coty

Tanya Coty is the new executive assistant for the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Coty came to the university from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where she worked for 5 years as a clinic facilitator in the Cardiology Clinic and office manager for Home Health Care.

Coty was born and raised in Montevideo, Minnesota and moved to Alaska in August 1990. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Mankato with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She is married to Brad Coty, has has three children--Joseph, Kayla and Jacob Rauenhorst; and two step-children, Chris and Carine Coty.

Coty enjoys playing and watching hockey, quilting, gardening and reading.

Leah Glasscock-Sanders

Leah Glasscock-Sanders worked the past three years at UAF Printing Services. Her work with the university started as a student, then as temporary staff and finally as full-time staff at the UA Tech Center

Glasscock-Sanders was born in Dallas, Texas but moved to Anchorage in 1976 with her parents. She moved to Fairbanks about eight years ago. She's attended both UAA and UAF, but has not matriculated.

She has been married a little over five years to Nick Sanders (UAF 2010). Her favorite activity is reading, though gardening and baking fight for a close second. She and her husband enjoy roadtrips and like checking out places around the state and documenting the trips with pictures. They also have an impossible beagle named Rosie that accompanies them most places they go and takes up any spare time they think they might have.

Arthur Hussey

Arthur Hussey has worked in a management capacity at UAF since late 2008, first at the Geophysical Institute's Proposal Office and more recently in the Center for Research Services' biomedical infrastructure program. In the latter capacity, he has worked with all three MAU's. He has also managed a Fairbanks-based non-profit and has a strong background in program management and service support.

Hussey and his family have been in Fairbanks in various capacities since 1995, but at the same time he has traveled extensively and worked in several African and Asian countries administering humanitarian assistance programs. He has a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and a master's degree from the University of Connecticut.

When not working, he and family enjoy trips to their Brooks Range cabin, which they reach by flying. Both Arthur and wife Janet are pilots.
