Ballroom Dance Team fundraiser

The Lathrop High School Ballroom Dance Team is taking orders for precooked honey-baked boneless pit ham (16lbs for $60), honey-baked spiral cut ham (9lbs for $35.00), frozen Dungeness crab legs (10lbs for $110), and boneless beef ribs (16.5lbs for $145) for the Holiday season.� Orders are due Nov.� 2 for delivery on Nov. 15 and Nov. 30 for delivery on Dec. 14.� Please contact Michelle Pope at mlpope@alaska.edu or call extension 8218 for more information or to order.

Partners Benefit Banquet
The 7th-annual Partners Benefit Banquet is scheduled for Friday, October 29, at the Friends Community Church, 1485 30th Ave. This is a community event of great food, fun and live entertainment. Doors open at 6 p.m., entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7. Entertainment includes the 17-piece Fairbanks Community Jazz Band. The menu includes crab-stuffed chicken and carved baron of beef with all the fixings and your choice of desserts from a 24-foot dessert table.

Steve Gumaer, co-founder and director of Partners Relief Aid & Development, will return to his hometown of Fairbanks from Thailand to be this year's guest speaker. All proceeds benefit the Burmese refugees. Adult tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Child tickets (ages 12 and under) are $10. Tickets are available at Friends Community Church, Good News Bible & Bookstore, or call 457-6041. Tables of eight may be reserved in advance. This event is always a sell-out, so purchase your tickets early!

Can Can Plays the Bay at Nice

THEATRE UAF is pleased to announce its production of three one-act plays, collectively titled CAN CAN PLAYS THE BAY AT NICE, comprised of CAN CAN by ROMULUS LINNEY, PLAY by SAMUEL BECKETT, and THE BAY AT NICE by DAVID HARE, all directed by STEPHAN GOLUX. The production previews on Thursday, November 11 at 8:15 p.m. and opens on Friday, November 12 at 8:15 p.m. Performances run Fridays and Saturdays at 8:15 p.m. and with a final Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.� November 21. Tickets are $14 for adults; $11 for UAF faculty and staff, military and seniors; and $7 for students with ID.
