Training Opportunities
The Statewide Office of Human Resources is sponsoring a variety of classes in March and April for UA employees.� The calendar is posted at www.alaska.edu/hrtraining and identifies the events in date order.� Information below describes the upcoming ComPsych Webinars available to all UA employees, training sessions for university supervisory and management personnel and E-learning demonstrations of SkillSoft resources.�
ComPsych Webinars are generally 45 minutes in length and are open to UA employees system-wide.� There is no charge to attend a ComPsych webinar, although supervisory approval is needed if the webinar takes place during the employee’s work hours.

Employees may join these webinars from their desk.�� During the month of March, *webinars may also be viewed in Fairbanks at Butro 204.� Employees interested in receiving the handouts should register in advance. To avoid unneeded copies being made, attendees are encouraged to print their own handouts prior to arriving.
Supervisory Training:� The following classes for university supervisors and managers will be offered in Butrovich.� The February 22 class also will be offered as a video-conference in Anchorage, Bragaw Office Building 205.� Additional class details are available on the training calendar.�

Get the Point program in full swing
The Get the Point (GTP) Incentive Campaign began Feb. 1 and runs through July 31. This year features new prizes and an updated system. The program goal remains the same, to help you incorporate healthful habits into your lifestyle and reward you for consistent healthful living.

Beginning in February, track your activities at least once a month in any one of the FOUR CONSECUTIVE MONTH incentive campaign periods. Once you start, you have FOUR CONSECUTIVE MONTHS to complete the GTP incentive campaign.

EEOC Visit and Information Session in Alaska
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will be in Anchorage to share information on the Americans with Disabilities Act, as Amended and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) of 2008 which took effect on November 21, 2009.� Title II of GINA prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of genetic information.� This event will also be available via video-conference in Fairbanks and Juneau.� The room locations may change depending on availability.

UA employees may now view and print a PDF version of their 2009 W-2 in UAOnline.*� The online form can be printed and submitted to the IRS.� For detailed information, please refer to the following URL:
