Cara Brunk
IT Trainer, OIT Support Services

Cara Brunk's job duties include conducting training classes on the majority of the software supported by OIT user services, while also providing second line customer support on the same programs.
Brunk was a digital marketing specialist for Science Teacher Education Program at the Geophysical Institute from December 2006 until transferring to this position. Prior to returning to Alaska she worked as a marketing director for a large real estate agency in Portland, Oregon. Brunk has also spent several years as a freelance graphic designer.
Cara Brunk was born and raised in Fairbanks then moved to Hawaii for high school. She returned to Fairbanks during the summer of 2006, after having lived in the Pacific Northwest, Kentucky, Anchorage, and Bethel.
She studied at the University of Oregon where she received a BA in art history with a minor in fine arts,.� In 2008 she completed training in group facilitation through Hollyhock Institute in Vancouver, BC. Currently Brunk is working on an MBA through UAF.
She likes to spend her free time fly fishing, traveling, running, cross country sking, gardening, backpacking, reading and, at the moment, studying! She is also very interested in new media, organizational development and web marketing.
Anne Parks
Administrative Assistant

Anne Parks is the newest addition to the Presidential Suite where she is the administrative assistant for VP of Academic Affairs Dan Julius.
Parks was previously an administrative assistant for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
She has lived in Fairbanks for most of her life and considers Fairbanks as home.
In 2008 she received a BA in Communication with a General Business Minor from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Parks enjoys spending time with her husband Josh. Other interests include hiking, photography, quilting, hunting, fishing, reading, metalsmithing and playing with her dog Tikka and cat Toby.
