11 alaska.edu emails found in the Drizly data breach
In approximately July 2020, the US-based online alcohol delivery service Drizly suffered a data breach. The data was sold online before being extensively redistributed and contained 2.5 million unique email addresses alongside names, physical and IP addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and passwords stored as bcrypt hashes.
Among those email address were 11 University of Alaska emails. Visit HaveIBeenPwned to see if your email has been involved in this (or any other) breach.
You can minimize the risk to your accounts by avoiding using the same login and password combination for multiple sites. Using long and unique passwords for each account helps protect you and the university in the case of a breach.
