CAM Poster and Video Contest

UA Security Matters is holding a Poster and Video Contest for current University of Alaska students, faculty and staff.

The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges made up of cyber security enthusiasts (does this sound like you? Volunteer!)

Prizes in the form of gift cards will be given to first, second and third place. Contestants may also have their video or poster marketed across the University of Alaska system to promote Cybersecurity Awareness Month with their name(s) attached.

There is no entry fee. The deadline for submission is 11:59pm AKDT Sunday, October 23, 2022. Winners will be announced Thursday, October 31, 2022.

Eligibility
Prizes in the contest will be awarded to the best video or poster submitted by an individual or group of current University of Alaska students, faculty or staff. Participating students must be at least 18 year of age by the deadline of submission.

Content and themes
This year, we ask you to pick one of our topics from our collection of fun National Cyber Security Alliance videos and make your own UA-themed poster or video about the topic! We have included the links here for inspiration:

Choose the topic you are the most interested in and present us with an entry that demonstrates how important Security Awareness is to University of Alaska!


To Enter


Video
Video submissions must be uploaded to YouTube and and the link sent via email to the Security Matters team (UA-securitymatters@alaska.edu). YouTube is not a sponsor of this contest. The video’s format and size must follow YouTube’s video upload guidelines. The content should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Video may not include explicit language or imagery.
  • Video must be  approximately 1 minute in length, and may not be longer that 1:30.
  • All content must be your work but can include elements from the public domain.
  • Content must demonstrate a relationship to University of Alaska

 

Poster
Poster submissions must be sent digitally via email to the the Security Matters team (UA-securitymatters@alaska.eduand should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • 1920 X 1080 pixels*
  • File size must be under 5MB.
  • PNG, JPG, or GIF format
  • Poster may not include explicit language or pictures.
  • All content must be your work but can include elements from the public domain.
  • Content must demonstrate a relationship to University of Alaska

* landscape orientation allows for a more widely usable digital poster, but portrait orientation is welcome too!


 

Your submission must creatively demonstrate your understanding of cybersecurity and its importance at University of Alaska. It must be original and unique and comply with the submission guidelines as stated above.
