UAF recognized as top school by Times Higher Education
The University of Alaska Fairbanks is the top U.S. university in Times Higher Education’s 2020 Impact Rankings for quality education.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings measure universities around the world against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The Impact Rankings for quality education consider metrics such as a university’s “contribution to early years and lifelong learning, their pedagogy research and their commitment to inclusive education.”
“UAF is a place where everyone belongs,” said UAF Provost Anupma Prakash. “I am incredibly proud of UAF’s world-class academic programs, research and outreach, and am very grateful for the rich and diverse perspectives that our students, employees and stakeholders bring.”
Aalborg University in Denmark earned the top overall spot in the THE Impact Rankings. UAF is No. 35 on the list and is the highest-ranked school in the U.S. The rankings include 676 universities from 82 countries.
The London-based publication, which covers global higher education issues, is recognizing UAF for the second consecutive year. In 2019, it listed UAF among the top 20 small universities in the world.
