UA Scholars Celebrates Moms and Teachers

The UA Scholars Program wishes a happy mother's day to the moms, grandmothers, and mother-figures in the lives of our UA Scholars. The Program's appreciation extends to Alaska's educators for their role in educating and inspiring Alaska youth to pursue academic excellence, especially the 930 graduates in the class of 2021 who were honored with the distinction of UA Scholar.

The complete list of the class of 2021 UA Scholars will be printed and inserted in Alaska newspapers on May 9, 2021 and on the UA Scholars website.

Each year, high schools in Alaska identify the top ten percent of their class for the UA Scholars Award, a designation that includes a $12,000 scholarship for use at any University of Alaska campus. This year, 930 students in Alaska’s high school class of 2021 were named for this prestigious award. The class hails from 238 high schools in communities ranging from Akiachak to Yakutat.
