UA hosts national higher education auditors conference
The Statewide Office of Audit and Consulting Services will host the 10th Pacific Northwest Higher Education Internal Auditors' Conference next week in Fairbanks.
“We are proud to host the Pacific Northwest Higher Education Internal Auditors' Conference,” said Nikki Pittman, UA’s chief audit executive. “This is the first time that the conference will be in Alaska. We look forward to collaborating with our colleagues and sharing latest best practices so we can better serve UA and our students.”
The conference is typically attended by internal auditors from colleges and universities in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Colorado. Conference topics include ethical leadership, ensuring online security and privacy, and case studies.
The Audit and Consulting Services department is an independent office that provides objective guidance designed to add value and improve UA operations. The department helps UA by mitigating risk, identifying efficiencies and ensuring compliance with Board of Regents policy, university regulations, federal requirements and contractual requirements.
You are welcome to stop in to any of the sessions or drop by to say hello. Conference sessions will be held in Butrovich 109 on July 22-23. Download the agenda HERE.
