Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence nominations are open
Sept. 17, 2021
It’s time to start thinking of UA colleagues doing important work who deserve recognition!
The nomination period for the Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence is now open through December 1.
The Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence is awarded each year by the University of Alaska Foundation Board of Directors to an individual whose work has demonstrated excellence in support of the University of Alaska. For the purpose of nominations for the prize, “excellence” has been defined as “superiority, surpassing goodness and merit, a particular virtue.” Accordingly, the prize may be awarded, for example, to faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in their teaching, research, or public service activities; to students who have distinguished themselves in their studies; to administrators who have made significant contributions to the university through their work; or to alumni who have earned the university great credit and wide national exposure. This award is one of UA’s most prestigious awards. The amount of the award is $20,000.
The deadline to submit complete nomination packets, including application, resume or curriculum vitae and letters of reference is December 1, 2021. Nominations are being accepted via an online application.
