Town Hall with President Pitney
UA President Pat Pitney held a Virtual Town Hall, joined by the three chancellors and System Office leadership on Wednesday, May 4. All staff, students and faculty across the University of Alaska system were invited. A recording of the event is posted on the UA President’s communications page.
President Pitney provided an update on the legislative session, progress on the budget and other topics before answering questions from the university community. The Zoom webinar format allowed participants to ask questions directly or through the moderator.
Questions included staff and faculty compensation, administrative expenses, websites, Banner migration, the Alaska Native Success Initiative and other topics. Thank you to the more than 500 individuals who joined the Zoom or watched the livestream to hear important updates from university system leadership.
