Livestream of February Regents’ Meeting Won’t Be Available

The News: Livestreaming of the February 20-21, 2025, Board of Regents Meeting at the Kenai River Campus (KRC) will not be available. The meeting will still be recorded and made available afterward, but space and technical restrictions mean a quality livestream won’t be available.

• Livestreaming will return for the Board’s May 21-22, 2025 meeting in Fairbanks.

The Details: A combination of audio issues in the room where the meeting will take place and limited staff capacity, mean a high-quality livestream can’t be guaranteed. 

• As a result, resources are being dedicated to ensuring the recorded version of the meeting is available and has high-quality audio, as usual.

What’s Next: Since the Board is returning to meetings at the Community Campuses after a long break, OIT and the President's Office are pursuing other strategies and equipment to facilitate quality livestreaming at future community campus meetings. 

• Those solutions should be onboarded in time for the next community campus-hosted board meeting in early 2026.
