Board of Regents to discuss university system’s economic impacts, goals and measures during February meeting

Who: University of Alaska Board of Regents
When: Committee meetings - Thursday, Feb. 23 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Full board meeting - Friday, Feb. 24 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
What: The board will discuss the university's priority focus areas during the Goals & Measures presentation, see a presentation about the university's economic impact in Alaska, and receive an update on the UA Land grant.
The meeting will feature a ‘Did You Know’ video presentation about programs across the university system which prepare workforce for Alaska's Construction industry. The video highlights the breadth of programs at UAA, UAF and UAS relevant to the state's construction industry and to closely-related industries such as transportation, mining, and oil and gas.
Reports from the respective board committees, and reports from President Pat Pitney, chancellors, governance leadership, government relations, and Title IX will be provided.
The board will hear updates on activities from the Alaska Native Success Initiative and the UA Foundation, and consider approval of the Crafts & Trades Collective Bargaining Agreement
