It’s that time of year when we celebrate the achievements of graduates across the University of Alaska system.

Over the last week, all three universities held commencement ceremonies to recognize the graduates of 2022 and in some cases, those of previous years who missed an in-person commencement due to the covid-19 pandemic.

University of Alaska Anchorage celebrated the accomplishments of more than 1,000 undergraduate, graduate and certificate students from the Anchorage campus at two ceremonies on Sunday, May 1, at the Alaska Airlines Center.

UAA grads from the classes of 2020 and 2021 who could not attend in-person commencement ceremonies at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic were honored at a special reunion commencement the evening prior to UAA's spring 2022 commencement.

Slideshows of the celebrations can be found here

University of Alaska Fairbanks celebrated commencement on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks with two short, student-centered ceremonies.
